Volunteers are an important part of what makes our school a great place to learn and grow. We value and appreciate the support of our volunteers. Volunteers have various roles at our school, including:
- School council members and participants
- Hot lunch day organizers
- Field trip supervisors
- Classroom helpers
- Kiss-n-ride supervisors
In order to be a volunteer at our school, you must complete a criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening. Please come visit us in the office if you’re interested in volunteering and would like to know more about the opportunities available. After meeting with you, we will provide you with the form to bring to the police department to complete your criminal record check.
We need your help!
If you are able to generously donate any of your time to volunteer, please contact the school office at 705-458-4461 at your earliest convenience.
We are hoping to have volunteers join us for reading with students
in the primary classes and helping teachers in some classrooms. Our
library can benefit from volunteer assistance too!
help with our Pizza Program, Safe Arrival, our Healthy Snack
Program(we are in need of a new Coordinator for this program!)
and of course field trips and sports.
Remember, too, the Cookstown Central P.S. School Council is looking for your support.
All volunteers need to have current police
checks and vulnerable sector checks. Once you have
completed a police check you must sign a
Declaration every fall in order to remain on our list of approved volunteers.
We hope you will consider joining our dynamic team.
